Join Your Community’s Noble Tradition of Service!
Did you know that nearly 75% of firefighters in the US are volunteers? You have the opportunity to uphold this noble tradition of service right in your own community, and no prior experience is necessary!
Today’s fire service is about much more than battling blazes. We're the first responders to all sorts of emergencies, and we actively engage in community events alongside our auxiliary members. We're there whenever our friends and neighbors need us.
But being a part of the fire service doesn’t mean you have to charge into burning buildings. There's a wide range of roles needed to keep a fire department running smoothly. Whether you're an accountant, a grocery clerk, a construction worker, or a retiree, there's a place for you here!
For those under 18 who dream of becoming firefighters, many departments offer Junior programs. These programs not only prepare you for the future but also instill valuable skills and a sense of responsibility.
